Recently I had work featured in F*EMS zine again for their 7th issue. F*EMS stands for Females* for Equality Making Stuff (Females = anyone who identifies as female, femme, etc) and they do really great things run by some really great girls who are all artists themselves: Freya Alexander (also an art teacher), Cassandra Martin, and Tegan Iversen.
These images are based on the open theme of experimentation and for me depict attitudes when I am about to engage or trial something new. The use of text refer to attitudes that are both physical ('After all we are just blobbies') and mental or psychological ('Just gotta put yourself out there'). The text and phrases used are very much biographical but also very general and are not too dissimilar to those found in classic motivational posters and online social media platforms.
You can purchase your copy of F*EMS Issue 7 and see and feel my drawings in real life here!
